Syneron Profound System is a minimally invasive treatment for many conditions. It was firstly approved by for treatment of signs of aging, while recently it has been approved as an adequate cellulite treatment. Syneron Profound System is a bipolar radiofrequency device that is consisted of a hand piece similar to microneedling device or derma-pen. That hand piece has 5 micro-needles that are connected to electrodes. Those needles deliver bipolar radiofrequency to the deep dermis, encouraging production of elastin, collagen, and hyaluronic acid. By encouraging production of natural skin ingredients, it minimizes the appearance of cellulite.

 

Syneron Profound and Cellulite Treatment

Syneron Profound System has different hand pieces used to treat different conditions. The 25-degree dermal hand-piece and cartridge are used to treat wrinkles and aging skin. On the other hand, 75-degree subQ hand piece and cartridge is used to treat cellulite. The right candidate who can undergo Syneron Profound System cellulite treatment has to have Fitzpatrick skin types I to III. After Syneron Profound System treatment cellulite is not completely removed but its appearance is minimized which represents a great breakthrough in the aesthetic medicine since cellulite has been challenging to treat. It may require a number of treatments to obtain desired results. Moreover, It has been advised that minimum of 6 treatments deliver satisfying results.  It may take up to 6 months to see end results. Cellulite is a major problem that majority of adult women face at one point in their life.

There is minimal discomfort during the procedure. The side effects include sunburn appearance and burning sensation on treated areas. The provider usually uses topical anesthetic ointments and cooling pads to reduce this discomfort. Other side effects that may last longer are small red dots. Those will fade away within few weeks. Hence, the skin is expected to fully heal after 4 weeks.
